Task 3b: My interpretation of Gilbert Amelio's message

"Developing excellent communication skills is absolutely essential to effective leadership. The leader must be able to share knowledge and ideas to transmit a sense of urgency and enthusiasm to others. If a leader can't get a message across clearly and motivate others to act on it, then having a message doesn't even matter."
-Gilbert Amelio, President and CEO of National Semiconductor Corp

This is my interpretation of the quoted paragraph:
According to Gilbert Amelio (AZQuotes, n.d), to be an effective leader, communication skills are vital. Not only must the leader be able to convey messages accurately, but the leader should also inspire and spur others into action. If unable to do so, the leader has failed to be efficient and effective.

Signing off,
